YAC Overview:

The primary role of the Youth Adult Committee is to connect congregations to each other in their cluster through cons and other activities. Representatives from each of 4 clusters, a youth chair and peer chaplain from anywhere in the district and the Youth Ministry Consultant and Youth Chaplain comprise the district YAC.

Each cluster (North, South, West and Central) is represented by two youth (Community Rep and Spirit Rep) and one adult (Advisor Rep). They are the primary contact persons through which congregations can connect with each other to organize events and initiatives in their cluster.

Elections are held at Bridging Con, absentee votes will be collected online. Reps do not have to be present to run. They will submit an APPLICATION for review at the Con.

The four teams will be connected through a Peer Chaplain and a Youth Chair who may be located anywhere in the district. These positions will be filled via peer selection from a pool of youth who have attended Chaplaincy training or Leadership training respectively. The primary role of the chair and chaplain are to maintain communication and consistency between clusters.

The Youth Ministry Consultant and Youth Chaplain oversees this team of 14.
