The MDD LREDA Chapter is a professional organization for liberal Religious Educators in the Unitarian Universalist Association Mountain Desert District.
The purpose of the Mountain Desert District LREDA Chapter shall be: to promote the religious growth and learning of people of all ages, support and encourage the growth of religious educators, and enhance the field of Religious Education in the Mountain Desert District.
Any member of national LREDA, with which we are affiliated, living within the UUA MDD District, may join MDD LREDA.
We meet twice a year, at the MDD Fall Conference in October and at our annual MDD LREDA Retreat in the spring. This year's spring retreat will be held March 4-6, 2009 near Colorado Springs, Colorado. Cost will be $190.00 per person. Scholarships are available. Registration information will be mailed to religious educators and district churches in January 2009.

Membership dues in national LREDA is $140. LREDA offers a wide range of services to all members including an annual conference, a code of professional practice, good officers, best practices in Lifespan Faith Development.
