We are kicking off 2012's theme of Justice for All with an in depth look at how we are all connected to the issue of immigration. The weekend will be full of storytelling. A group from First U Abq. that went down to the border on a service trip last year will share their experiences and photographs. We'll hear stories about the DREAM Act, a proposed legislation that would allow children born to undocumented immigrants who've graduated from US high schools to get in state tuition for college. You probably know someone whose chances for going to college based on the cost of tuition will be affected by this legislation. If you or your family is coming to UUism from another religion, you will get to share your own story as a "religious refugee". There will also be a con wide simulation experience, where we will experience a taste of the hardships of what it is like to try to immigrate to the US legally.

I look forward to seeing you all the weekend of the 3rd-5th! Please contact me with any questions at all!
