Colorado Springs Marriott and All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church
Youth Assembly Con is at the same time as the MDD Annual Meeting, which is the district wide gathering of UUs to worship, talk shop and grow together. HS youth and adult allies stay at the church and participate in multigenerational workshops, a youth-led worship and dance with a live band at the hotel.
Keynote Speaker Meg Riley: Rev. Riley explores what it means to be connected. What kind of alchemy transforms a roomful of people into real community? What kind of language helps along the way? In the 21st century, how does technology both help and hinder? Rev. Riley will also present a workshop track on Saturday on Digital Connection. Facebook is the 7th largest country in the world. How do we use this fact to change the world? How do we tell this new nation who we are?
Youth Assembly will be held Saturday afternoon at the Marriott to talk about:
- cluster retreats
- district cons
- middle school retreats
- our goals
- A district Boston trip
- A district reverse mission trip
